Workshop"Light scattering in an industrial context -Measurement and simulation"Institut für Werkstofftechnik, IWT, Bremen, 15. + 16. March 2012
cancelled
Light scattering more and more becomes an indispensible tool also in an industrial context. Particle surface contaminations have to be detected, sized and characterized. In metrology defects in nanostructures are of interest. Biological sensors are based on plasmonic scattering. For aerosol characterization spectroscopic methods and Lidar is used. For the design of new color pigments or interference pigments extensive light scattering computations are need. Soot aggregates in an industrial or environmental setting has to be characterized. In this workshop we like to discus latest developments in light scattering measurement methods as well as new simulation tools. Not only the single particle is of interest but especially systems of particles and nano structures in the vicinity of a plane surface or interface.
