The Institute for Materials Science (Dresden University of Technology, Germany) is offering the position of a Member of academic staff to work on the development of nanowire-based biosensor systems. The position will start on 1st October 2011 and is initially for 2 years.

A 2 year prestigious position is announced for a foreign (not Italian) senior researcher for implementing and conducting a new research laboratory at the Insubria University in Como, Italy. The scope of the laboratory is the design, from the nano-scale up to the macroscopic level, and the characterization of new functional optical materials, and of related optical components/devices.

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow with experience in experimental optics at the University of Insubria, Department of Physics and Mathematics, Como (Italy).

The perspective fellow activities will concerns the design, from the nano-scale up to the macroscopic level, the realization and the optical characterization of new materials and related new optical components/devices.

The research will be performed at the Insubria University Optical Laboratory premises in collaboration with the Insubria University Academic Spin-off “Light in Light” srl.
